Center for Biomedical Informatics Team Successful in Submissions to Premier International Informatics Congress

Researchers in the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science Center for Biomedical Informatics (CBI) were successful in gaining acceptance for presentation of a number of submissions to the leading international conference for biomedical informatics, reflecting the pioneering work in the field being conducted in the university. Medinfo 2013, the World Congress of Medical Informatics, is the latest installment of this triennial conference, which attracts leading researchers worldwide who work in all areas of this important field. It will be held August 20 – 23, 2013 in Copenhagen, Denmark. CBI co-directors Omolola Ogunyemi, PhD, Associate Professor of Medicine in the Life Science Institute (Research) and Robert A. Jenders, MD, MS, Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at CDU, joined by Sheba George, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at CDU and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences, UCLA School of Public Health, and Sukrit Mukherjee, MS, MSE, Instructor in the Life Science Institute (Research) and Senior Software Engineer at CDU, will deliver a variety of presentations at Medinfo 2013 (see below):
